Here, by kind permission, are two of Sandra’s juice recipes to help with weight loss.
- 1 large whole grapefruit – pink if available
- 2 dandelion leaves
- 1 medium whole apple
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1 medium carrot
- 1 medium cucumber- Lebanese is ideal
- 1 pinch or 1/4 tsp. turmeric
- 1/2 tsp. Kelp powder
Wash, trim and chop all fruit, vegetables and leaves, and process through juicer. Then add turmeric and kelp powder.
This juice can be diluted 1 part juice to 1 part water or cold lemon and honey tea.
Grapefruit is traditionally known for its weight reducing properties. Dandelion, Cucumber and Parsley have natural diuretic properties. Turmeric is an effective liver tonic. Kelp stimulates the function of the thyroid gland.
Juice together equal parts of spinach and beetroot with tops
or…any of the following:
Carrot and Spinach
Carrot and Lettuce
Cabbage and Tomato
Pineapple and Grapefruit
Any of these juices may also be diluted 1 part juice – 1 part water
To enhance these flavors you may add 1/4 cup of any of the following juices:
Celery, cucumber, orange, lemon, grapefruit, strawberry, apricot, peach, pear or pomegranate.
